I'm happy taking the self employment tax right offs (approximately $65k a year on mileage allone). Is the real issue the extra $7 billion in payroll taxes, workers comp, special interests, etc. ?? Put a floor on the per mile and per minute rate and stop thinking the government can do a better job than private industry and entrepreneurs. Why must you screw up a good thing? Nobody is making less than minimum wage after real expenses unless their a complete idiot or leaving the app on while they sleep or do whatever in a dead zone.
